An opportunity to gain experience in facilitation and leadership, as well as stretch your creative muscles, the Residential Summer Camp Staff Traineeship Programme is perfect for any student who has experienced Young Film Academy Summer Camp and doesn’t want their journey to end!
YFA alumni are invited to apply for our Staff Traineeship Programme. During the two weeks of Summer Camp, trainees will work on a rota basis supporting social staff daily and filmmaking staff during production. The trainees will also be charged with creating a “Behind the Scenes” Summer Camp exclusive. CLICK HERE to see sample schedule
Dates: 3-18th August 2024
Arrival is at 10:00am on Saturday, 3rd August
Departure is at 5:00pm on Sunday, 18th August
Details: Trainees will sleep separately from students, sharing rooms with 1-4 other trainees. All meals are provided on site.
£500 fee (as contribution towards the cost of room and board)
Trainees will be required to complete a DBS check.

We are currently looking for young people interested in joining our crew and gaining work experience assisting on our London Filmmaking courses.
Our courses are taking place at Chelsea Academy in London. The courses range from 1 day (Make a Film in a Day) to 4 or more days (Filmmakers Club / 4 Day Film School). You can find all information about them on our website here: https://www.youngfilmacademy.co.uk/courses/
A successful candidate would have an active interest in filmmaking, be punctual, reliable and organised.
Your duties will consist of welcoming the students and parents and guiding them to their classrooms, you will then assist the filmmaker by organising the props, making sure the classrooms are prepped for the course, checking that the kit is charged and ready to be used and help supervising the filmmaking groups.
You will be reporting to your assigned tutor as well as the coordination team in the office.
We are looking for someone who can easily travel to and from the location, ideally based in London.

Film/admin work experience internships are periodically available at Young Film Academy / Magma Group, which includes our sister film production company Magma Pictures. We also welcome applications from Erasmus Programme students from Europe looking for a 3 month internship in London for film or video production.
